WHAT WE PROVIDE

For a $150 flat professional fee, we will:

Review your general inquiry to determine whether this service appears appropriate
Provide secure intake and engagement instructions
Obtain the applicable IRS authorization before communicating with the IRS
Contact the IRS as your authorized representative to request available election-status information or written confirmation
Deliver IRS-provided documentation to you through a secure method, if the IRS issues or provides it
Explain any IRS response and identify separately quoted follow-up work, if needed

The $150 fee covers ARBSTAX’s professional assistance. It does not purchase an approval from the IRS and does not guarantee that the IRS will confirm acceptance or issue a particular letter.

WHAT THE LETTER MEANS

Written confirmation of the IRS’s determination.

The IRS notifies an entity whether its Form 2553 election is accepted and when it takes effect. An IRS acceptance letter may be used as evidence that the IRS accepted the election for the effective date stated in the letter.

Confirms the IRS determination shown in its records
States the effective date recognized by the IRS
May support tax, payroll, banking, or professional recordkeeping needs
Should be retained with the business’s permanent tax records

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

A secure four-step process.

01

Send an inquiry

Tell us that you need S corporation election-status or acceptance-letter assistance. Do not include an EIN, Social Security number, tax records, banking information, or sensitive documents in the general inquiry form.

02

Secure review

We review the request and provide secure intake, engagement and authorization instructions. An inquiry alone does not establish an engagement.

03

IRS follow-up

After all required steps are complete, we contact the IRS as your authorized representative and request available status information or documentation.

04

Secure delivery

If the IRS provides written confirmation, we deliver it securely. IRS availability, processing and response times vary.

WHO THIS SERVICE IS FOR

You may need this assistance if you:

Previously filed Form 2553 and did not retain the IRS response
Need to confirm whether an S corporation election was accepted
Need documentation showing the effective date in IRS records
Were asked by a tax professional, payroll provider, bank, or other organization for IRS confirmation

Important scope limitation. This service does not determine whether your business qualifies to make an S corporation election, prepare or submit Form 2553, request late-election relief, correct an IRS record, or guarantee a specific tax result. Those matters require a separate facts-and-circumstances review and engagement.

INDEPENDENT SERVICE DISCLOSURE

The IRS—not ARBSTAX—makes the determination.

ARBSTAX is an independent tax practice and is not the IRS or any other government agency. Only the IRS can accept, reject, confirm, change, or document an S corporation election. We do not claim special influence, faster government processing, or guaranteed approval.

A taxpayer or authorized business representative may contact the IRS directly without hiring ARBSTAX. Our $150 fee compensates ARBSTAX for the defined professional assistance, secure intake, authorized IRS communication, and delivery of any documentation the IRS makes available.

IRS rules, records and procedures control. Additional work—including preparing Form 2553, addressing a rejected or missing election, late-election relief, entity-classification analysis, amended filings, payroll corrections, or tax-return preparation—is outside this flat-fee service and requires a separate written scope and fee.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before you request assistance.

Does the $150 fee guarantee an approval letter?

No. The fee is for ARBSTAX’s professional assistance. Only the IRS determines election status and whether a particular letter or other confirmation is available.

Is this the same as filing Form 2553?

No. This service is limited to follow-up for an election that was previously submitted. Preparation of a new Form 2553, late-election relief, or corrective filings requires a separate review and engagement.

What authorization is required?

A person authorized to act for the business must complete the applicable IRS authorization and ARBSTAX engagement steps before we contact the IRS. We provide instructions after reviewing the inquiry.

What information should I submit initially?

Send only a general inquiry stating that you need S corporation election-status or acceptance-letter assistance. Do not place an EIN, Social Security number, banking information, tax records, or sensitive documents in the general inquiry form. Secure instructions follow after review.

How long will it take?

Timing depends on complete intake, valid authorization, IRS availability, identity verification, and the status of IRS records. ARBSTAX cannot guarantee a completion date or the issuance of a letter.

What if the IRS says the election was not accepted?

We will explain the response within the scope of this service. Analysis, Form 2553 preparation, late-election relief, corrections, or other filings are separate services and will not begin without a new written scope and fee.
